SMWC Equine Event Center

The SMWC Equine Event Center will establish the West Central region as Indiana’s leader in equine events on local, state and national platforms. This 50,000 square foot facility will be comprised of

• A 30,800 square foot indoor arena event space with stalls
• Concessions
• Restrooms
• Meeting rooms and an office space.
• Ample horse trailer parking
• Camp sites and pastures surrounding the facility on 90 acres of farmland adjacent to SMWC.

A facility of this size will not only complement the existing equine facilities at SMWC, but will also introduce an untapped industry which could immediately spawn development in the slow-growth area of northwestern Vigo County. In addition, surrounding counties such as Vermillion and Parke Counties in Indiana, as well as Clark and Edgar counties in Illinois and beyond, could be impacted as this project will be a catalyst for major economic growth.

The plan for the new event center in West Central Indiana is for it to become a destination for equine enthusiasts, hotel visitors, regional attractions and more. It promises to highlight Indiana’s commitment to the horse industry, offering a much-needed event venue currently missing from Indiana and the Midwest’s wheelhouse.
