Terre Haute, IN – The Wabash Valley Regional Development Authority (WVRDA) will host two public forums in early June to gather community input for the Wabash River Regional Arts & Culture Plan. Residents from across the region are invited to participate and help shape a shared vision for the future of arts, culture, and creative placemaking in West Central Indiana.
Public Meeting Dates:
· Monday, June 3 | 6:00 – 7:00 PM | Ritz Theater, Rockville, IN
· Wednesday, June 5 | 5:00 – 6:00 PM | Vigo County Historical Museum, Terre Haute, IN
Wabash River Regional Arts & Culture Plan will guide future investments and initiatives that strengthen regional identity, increase access to cultural experiences, and support economic and community development across Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties.
“This is an exciting time for the Wabash Valley,” said Jon Ford, Board Chair of the WVRDA. “The Arts & Culture Plan is about more than public art. It is about building a stronger sense of place, celebrating who we are, and creating opportunities for connection and growth. We need local voices to help us build a vision that reflects the identity and aspirations of our region.”
If you are unable to attend either public forum, you are encouraged to take the regional arts and culture survey online and share your input. The survey and additional information about the plan can be found at www.wrrartsandculture.com.
