TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Wabash River Regional Development Authority (RDA) Board of Directors has approved a $5 million pre-commitment through the State of Indiana’s READI program, supported by Lilly Endowment Inc. and administered by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC).

The funding will support the Homes for the Future initiative, according to a press release. They added, this is a regional housing and redevelopment effort led and administered by Thrive West Central focused on removing blighted properties and preparing sites for new housing development and future private investment in Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.
